Fox Run Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course and 10-acre practice facility featuring a 4-hole short course, and full driving range. The par 70 layout is 6,400 yards in length and features dramatic elevation change through rolling terrain outlined by fescue native areas that enhance the heathland layout.
Yardage 412 | 384 | 372 | 347 | 275
A long straight drive is needed on this challenging opening hole. If the pin is on the rightside, play for the middle of the green.
Yardage 539 | 525 | 519 | 449
There is more room to the right than it appears from the tee. Don’t get too aggressive playing down the left side. Bunkers protect the front of this green.
Yardage 372 | 360 | 329 | 281
This par 4 features what may be the toughest putting surface on the course. Aim for themiddle of the green and be cautious on downhill putts.
Yardage 191 | 177 | 160 | 139
This hole plays very short when the wind is with you. Going over the green is very bad! Be careful not to use too much club.
Yardage 395 | 376 | 360 | 318
Be careful here with a long tee shot. Long and straight may sound good, but if you hit it too far, you may catch the creek.
Yardage 191 | 175 | 160 | 147
Mistakes here should be made to the right as you might bounce left onto the green from a shot that misses right. Going to the left of the green will penalize you.
Yardage 520 | 493 | 460 | 447 | 312
Aim your tee shot to the left of the fairway bunkers; there is plenty of fairway out in that area. Long hitters can reach in two, so you may have to wait for players on the green to move on before hitting your second shot.
Yardage 187 | 169 | 160 | 131
This hole features a great view and big vertical drop from tee to green. Check the wind, then select your club. If the wind is in your face, you may need more stick. Otherwise this hole plays shorter than the yardage.
Yardage 365 | 347 | 333 | 281
Big hitters often try to cut the corner here, usually resulting in a big score. Play it safe and aim at the 150-yard marker with an appropriate club. On average you will score by being a little conservative here.
Yardage 322 | 309 | 303 | 269
Big hitters who go for it end up buried in the right-side bunkers, so play a safe tee shot. On your approach, aim for the middle of this very small green.
Yardage 517 | 509 | 493 | 483 |360
Let it rip; this is the most receptive fairway on the course. Although there is plenty of room on the tee shot, be careful on the second shot. A water hazard looms on the right side. This green is small, so it is best not to go long.
Yardage 404 | 379 | 353 |330 | 228
This may be the toughest hole on the course. A long straight drive is needed here. Stay to the right on your approach and you may be pleased with a bounce onto the green.Going left of the green is very bad.
Yardage 347 | 316 | 283 | 246
This hole is very short, but the uphill approach to a small green makes it tougher than its length would suggest. Try to keep the ball below the hole as this green slopes from front to back.
Yardage 239 | 212 | 161 | 136
Welcome to Fox Run’s finishing five. All five holes are great from here on in. This par 3 requires a long tee shot and precise putting.
Yardage 411 | 404| 401 | 363 | 288
This great par 4 requires a long tee shot to a split fairway. The largest green in the state awaits, so if the pin is on the back left side, use more club.
Yardage 472 | 444 | 426 | 393 | 301
Not much to say here. Let it fly as you enjoy the views on this, the longest par 4 on the course. If you must miss on the approach, do so to the right. Going left will get you in trouble.
Yardage 220 | 203 | 156 | 116
Enjoy the beautiful view of Okemo Mountain. If you appropriate for your game you should be all right, but play the wrong tee and say,“goodbye!”to that ball forever.
Yardage 436 | 427 | 409 | 397 | 308
On this long downhill par 4, hit a long, straight drive. If the pin is in the back, aim for the middle of the green. This is an outstanding finishing hole. Stop by Calcuttas for a bite to eat or a cold drink. Hope you enjoyed your day at Fox Run Golf Club.
"I don't see how golf in Vermont could get any better than this. The course is in perfect condition and very well maintained, perfect fairways and perfect greens. Amazing golf atmosphere with a great staff. Best course in the Killington area and likely the best course in Vermont." Justin T.
Fox Run was originally opened in 1969 as a 9-hole executive golf course located on the 150-acre Moore Family dairy farm in Ludlow, Vermont. Local Ludlow resident, Stan Johnson, was hired to design and build the original layout. After several groups owned and operated the property, it was purchased by the Garvey Family and successfully operated from 1977-1997.Okemo Mountain, owned by Tim and Diane Mueller purchased the property and expanded it to an 18-hole championship layout.
The original golf course was bulldozed, and Steve Durkeewas hired to design and build the new layout, with the help of Construction and Grow-inSuperintendent Rodney Williams. In 1999 the first 9 holes of the new Okemo Valley Golf Club Were opened and the following year the 18-hole course officially opened.
Between 2000-2018 Okemo Valley Golf Club was operated under the leadership of GeneralManager/COO Jim Remy, past president of the PGA of America. In 2018 Vail Resorts purchasedOkemo Mountain and Okemo Valley Golf Club. The property was sold to current ownership inApril of 2021. Since the purchase ownership has changed the name back to the original FoxRun Golf Club and significant investments have been made into the golf course;new sand in bunkers, constructing new forward tee boxes, purchasing state-of-the-art maintenance equipment, among many other capital improvement projects.
